The 1930s bar cart we are offering, made by the Czechoslovakian tubular steel furniture manufacturer Mücke-Melder, is one of the finest furniture designs of its time.
The combination of chrome-plated tubular steel, transparent shelves, and polished glass wheels exudes an exceptional level of elegance.
This bar cart was part of a luxury furniture series in the 1930s collection by Mücke-Melder, which also included MR chairs by the renowned German architect Mies van der Rohe.
These pieces were manufactured by the company under license from Thonet, specifically for the Sudeten German and Czechoslovak markets.
The Bauhaus-style serving cart was appropriately advertised and sold under the product name “Paris.”
