Classic Bauhaus tubular steel club chair by Mücke-Melder, model FN 21, from the 1930s.
Mücke-Melder was one of Central Europe’s leading manufacturers of tubular steel furniture in the 1930s, producing both Bauhaus-inspired designs and functionalist creations by Czech designers.

This armchair type was offered in the nineteen thirties sales catalogue of Mücke-Melder under the model type name famos 21. The fabric design comes from the environment of the Vienna Modernism. The streamlined design features chrome-plated tubular steel, spring core padding, and lacquered beechwood armrests. In addition to the elegant streamline design the chairs impress with a maximum level of comfort.

Expertly restored ten years ago, the chair was reupholstered in high-quality “English Racing Green” leather with black stitching.
It is in excellent, ready-to-use condition with a beautiful patina.
