This exceptional and representative Art Deco cabinet has a french origin and was manufactured in the nineteen thirties.

The body was, at the time typical partly black lacquered and combined with root wood veneers.

The Sideboard has been professionally restored and offers plenty of space inside for storage.

The cabinet comes from a private German property and is in very well maintained condition.

The offered pair of Bauhaus wardrobes were designed by John Hagemann in the nineteen thirties for Thonet- Mundus.

John Hagemann was the construction manager of the Mies van de Rohe Villa Tugendhat in Brno and operated as a furniture designer.

Both cabinets have been polished up in our partner workshop which specializes in restoring original Bauhaus furniture.

Both are ready for daily use and have museum quality.

The offered cabinet comes from a 1930s production by the Czechoslovakian manufacturer Robert Slezak.

The Robert Slezak company was one of the leading tubular steel furniture manufacturers in Europe and owned licenses for the production of furniture designed by Marcel Breuer, Mart Stam and André Lurcat.

The offered piece has been professionally repainted by our restorers in a typical color of the time.
