The armchair by Jindřich Halabala in the Art Deco Streamline style was made by the Brno furniture manufacturer UP in the 1930s.

The armchair has been professionally refinished in high-gloss black, reupholstered and covered in a luxury fabric by Romo. The restoration work was carried out to the highest standard of craftsmanship.
Jindřich Halabala is considered one of the most important furniture designers of pre-war Czechoslovak modernism. Furniture by Jindřich Halabala was most recently featured in an exhibition at the Bröhan Museum in Berlin, titled “Hej Rup! The Czech Avant-Garde.”
