This rare Alfons Mauser furniture set in Bauhaus style, consisting of a table and four chairs, is an outstanding example of industrial design from the 1930s. It embodies the principles of Bauhaus, combining functionality with aesthetic simplicity. The Alfons Mauser Werke were leaders in steel tube furniture production in the 1930s and are still renowned for their innovative designs. The use of chrome-plated steel tubing gives the set its typical modern yet classic aesthetic. Particularly noteworthy is the original oxblood red finish on the seat and backrests. The pieces are in their original, very good condition. This furniture set reflects the ideals of the Bauhaus movement: radical simplicity, industrial manufacturing, and the innovative use of modern materials.
