Founded in the 1920s, the Sistrah brand quickly specialized in innovative lighting technology. Their breakthrough came with lamps that perfectly combined glare-free light with maximum luminosity.

The lamp offered here is the original T2 “Megaphos” model, designed by C.F. Otto Müller around 1932 for Sistrah Licht GmbH in Stuttgart.

It is considered one of the most significant lighting designs of German Modernism, combining technical ingenuity with sculptural presence.

Its distinctive lighting system features a stepped clear glass diffuser with embedded opal-white rings, paired with a sun-yellow overlaid upper shade. This glass construction provides glare-free light while focusing strong illumination downward. The angle of light can be adjusted via wing screws on the reflector.

The remaining components are made of nickel-plated brass and polished steel. Designed as an exclusive desk lamp for residential and office interiors, the T2 embodies precision and function.

This original example remains in outstanding condition and stands out for its refined aesthetics and museum-grade quality.

A rare piece of early modernist lighting history – engineered with purpose, designed with clarity.
