This exceptionally well-balanced Bauhaus table B10, designed by Marcel Breuer around 1930, embodies the fusion of functional clarity, structural logic, and material innovation.
With its rare proportions of 68 cm in height and a tabletop measuring 62 × 62 cm, the model represents one of the more compact variants of the B10 design. The lower tubular connections suggest a production either by Thonet-Mundus or under its manufacturing license.
The loop-shaped frame in chrome-plated tubular steel became a defining element in the visual language of modern tubular steel furniture and exemplifies Breuer’s aim to translate traditional craftsmanship into the idiom of industrial modernity.
This example has been restored to the highest conservation standards. The original Bauhaus-blue factory color by Thonet was carefully reconstructed to preserve the authentic historical appearance of the piece.
With its clear proportions, understated elegance, and refined craftsmanship, the table reflects the aesthetic purity and design logic of Bauhaus Modernism. The B10 is regarded as one of the key designs of the Bauhaus movement and is represented in numerous public and private collections.
The version presented here is perfectly suited as a writing, coffee, or side table and integrates seamlessly into both modern and classical interiors.
