Bauhaus tubular steel sofa – 1930s – black leather upholstery

This tubular steel sofa from the 1930s is a beautiful example of the principles of Classical Modernism. Its clean, reduced lines and balanced proportions give the design a calm architectural presence. The formal language clearly reflects the ideas of the Bauhaus while expressing the distinctive character of Czechoslovak Modernism. In our view, this design belongs among the finest tubular steel furniture created during the 1930s.

Professionally restored by our workshop and newly upholstered in smooth black leather, the sofa is presented in excellent condition while preserving its authentic character.

With an overall length of 190 cm, the sofa is equally suitable for everyday use as a sofa, a daybed or a comfortable guest bed.
