This four-piece seating set from the B43 model range designed by Mart Stam dates from the 1930s. It comprises two B43 cantilever chairs, one B43 F armchair and one B43 stool.
The B43 is one of the defining designs of Classical Modernism. Its cantilever construction and combination of chrome-plated tubular steel and moulded wood embody the reduced, functional approach of Bauhaus Modernism.
The original lacquer finish in a warm rose tone creates a soft contrast to the chrome-plated frames. Despite its slender appearance, the seating set is structurally durable and suitable for long-term use in both residential and work environments.
