The Famos 21 is a tubular steel armchair made by the Czechoslovak company Mücke-Melder in the 1930s. As a successful answer to Thonet’s K411, the Famos 21 also combines the upholstered form of a club chair with a cantilevered construction in chrome-plated tubular steel.
This example was reupholstered in olive green fabric during restoration.
The Famos 21 works equally well on its own or as part of a seating group. We have further unrestored examples of this model, which we can restore and upholster to your individual specifications.
