Alfons Mauser RS7 tubular steel armchairs – German streamline moderne in red

The RS7 is among the best-known seating designs of German Streamline Moderne. Characteristic features include the sweeping armrests, generous cantilever frames and the flowing lines of the tubular steel construction.

The present armchairs feature the higher backrest characteristic of later versions of the model. Their balanced proportions and comfortable seating position contribute to the enduring appeal of the design.

The armchairs have been carefully restored. The upholstery has been renewed in red leather, while the black wooden armrests have been refinished. The combination of chrome-plated tubular steel, black lacquered wood and red leather highlights the distinctive character of the RS7.
