Inspired by ideas of the International Style and Bauhaus Modernism, this table combines a linear frame made of chromed tubular steel with a decoratively veneered joinery top. The construction follows functional principles and deliberately avoids ornamental elements.
The polished tubular steel frame is executed as a classic loop-leg construction. Precisely guided radii and the clear spacing of the legs give the table a calm, almost floating appearance.
In contrast, the veneered tabletop introduces warmth to the otherwise strictly geometric form. Its natural grain and softly rounded edges emphasize a material-conscious approach to design.
In both style and materiality, the table recalls interior concepts of early 1930s modern architecture. A representative reference is the Villa Tugendhat in Brno, where technical materials such as steel and concrete were combined with refined wooden surfaces. The interplay of tubular steel and wood reflects the ambition to balance functionality and domesticity.
With its generous proportions, the table is suitable for use as a dining table as well as for work or conference settings. It represents a design attitude focused on clarity, construction, and material — restrained and confident.
This table was custom-made for a client. Dimensions and materials can be adapted according to individual requirements.
