This set of four original Model 45 armchairs was produced by Artek in the 1960s. Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1947, the Model 45 embodies the harmony between organic forms and modernist clarity that defines the Scandinavian mid-century movement.
The distinctive bent-wood armrests made of birch plywood form a refined contrast to the woven linen webbing of the seat and backrest. The construction combines visual lightness with structural stability and offers a high level of seating comfort — one of the reasons the Model 45 remains an enduring and sought-after design.
All four armchairs have been professionally restored and are in exceptionally well-maintained condition. The wooden surfaces were carefully treated while preserving their authentic character, and the webbing was renewed. As a result, the chairs present themselves both historically accurate and fully ready for everyday use.
The set is suitable for domestic interiors, working environments and representative spaces, where Scandinavian modernism and fine craftsmanship take a central role.
