The Streamline Art Deco armchair, model H269, by architect and furniture designer Jindřich Halabala, is one of the most iconic designs of the Czechoslovak avant-garde of the 1930s.
Jindřich Halabala was the chief designer at the Brno-based furniture manufacturer UP Závody, and his extensive portfolio of outstanding designs in the Bauhaus and functionalist modernist styles is widely recognized.
This particular example has been expertly refurbished by our restorers using original 1930s techniques.
For the fabric, we selected a vibrant, colorful material that perfectly complements the elegant curves of the armchair.
We also hold a selection of H269 armchairs, including unrestored originals, which can be individually restored in close dialogue using materials of choice.
